So there's no end to the number of magnificent cars in today's SVRA paddock here at The Track. I could've shot pics and drooled all day. Except my feet gave out. Remind me to get new shoes. The was barely any grass to be seen on the inside of the track as the tents and trailers covered all of it. And the garages were full as well! So let's look at some more vintage race cars!
If they were still making these Plymouth would be around today.
Ex-Dan Gurney FIA Cobra
Denny's. Grand Slam.
Deceptively fast 2000cc BDA Chevron. Went from 7th to 2nd.
"All parts fallign off this car are of the finest English workmanship"
Ardun heads!!!
Wish I had an audio recorder! They were in the process of warming it up.
Formula Junior?
Awesome ass end.

The geometry of the velocity stacks on this was quite interesting. They were offset and at different angles - presumable for clean airflow for each of them. It was great to see this out on track.

This guy pulled on during it's last race right where I was sitting - oval turn 4. Not sure what happened.

Not sure how "original" this GT40 was, it had a RoushYates engine in it. Still cool to see out on track. The museum had the brown and green GT40 out on track today (Sunday) too.

That was fairly common back the day. The variation in stack length made for wider power band tuning. Owned by a buddy of mine BTW. We'll post videos sometime this week.

Dan Gurney's FIA Cobra. Chris bought it about a month or so ago. Had his mechanic go thru it thoroughly before bringing it out. I'll see if I can find out what happened.

Thanks for posting! I'm upset I couldn't get up there this weekend, but moving 700 miles away, and going back for both the GP of Indy and the 500 kind of put a damper on things this year. I truly hope this event continues on!

Everyone is saying it was quite successful so it looks on for next year!
